Recently, Hangzhou Huiyan Nengyun Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter “Eyecloud China”) and the School of Ocean of Ningbo University formally signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement. Aiming to serve the development of China’s smart fisheries and the national “Blue Granary” strategy, and building on Ningbo University’s Aquaculture Summit Discipline and the first Smart Fisheries undergraduate program established in China, the two parties will jointly build a university–enterprise collaborative innovation mechanism for the application and commercialization of smart-fisheries visual perception technologies.
Under the agreement, Eyecloud China will fully leverage its industrial strengths in visual imaging equipment, edge AI computing, low-code and large-model AI vision software development and manufacturing, and intelligent equipment system integration and technical services. Together with the School of Ocean, it will carry out joint technology research and equipment application validation in directions including smart-fisheries visual perception, underwater and nearshore optical imaging in turbid waters, edge AI inference, behavior recognition and feeding monitoring of farmed species, intelligent feeding, and healthy-farming monitoring and disease early warning. Centered on China’s first Smart Fisheries undergraduate program, Eyecloud China will provide customized practical-training facilities — including AI vision teaching kits with hands-on equipment training, vision system practicums, and edge computing and data acquisition practice — and will participate in joint curriculum development. The two parties will also jointly establish industry–academia collaboration bases and a teaching-and-research perception laboratory, and advance smart-fisheries demonstration projects in scenarios such as land-based recirculating aquaculture systems, nearshore net pens, and deep-sea aquaculture platforms.
In this cooperation, Eyecloud China’s self-developed product lines — SDC, ROBOOPI, and UGRAB — will serve as the core technology and equipment carriers, deeply engaging in the deployment of visual monitoring, behavior recognition, biomass estimation, healthy-farming monitoring, and intelligent feeding assistance in farming scenarios for species including swimming crab, mud crab, large yellow croaker, and mullet. With its integrated “equipment + algorithms + services” capabilities, Eyecloud China will support the translation of the School’s research achievements into industrial applications and promote the digital and intelligent upgrading of aquaculture.
The establishment of this strategic partnership marks an important recognition of Eyecloud China’s capabilities in machine vision and artificial intelligence by a leading university discipline. The Company will join hands with the School of Ocean of Ningbo University to support the development of China’s first Smart Fisheries undergraduate program and the construction of the Aquaculture Summit Discipline, injecting new momentum into the national “Blue Granary” initiative.
